Online transaction security and protection
TrustDefender’s recently released third-generation technology decisively solves the issues facing organisations where an increasing percentage of their customer base connects to online services with malware infected computers, smartphones, tablets, gaming consoles and even the home set top box.
It is widely acknowledged that it is unsafe to transact online if your computer is compromised, regardless of the level of authentication, and yet malware infected (and supposedly protected) computers are regularly used by employees, consumers and customers to log into all manner of online services on a daily basis. However the employees, consumers and customers are unwittingly authenticating the criminal using infected computers, fuelling cybercrime and attacking organisations at the weakest point – the end-user’s PC, smartphone or tablet device.
Despite this, most organisations still expect that their employees or customers keep their computers secure with Internet security software, and up-to-date with the latest OS and software updates in order to surf safely online and complete safe transactions, yet these organisations have no visibility in real-time to see whether or not their customers or employees using personal devices have taken care of security, OS and software updates on their computing device.
Because of this, organisations cannot distinguish between an infected or a clean computer (or smart device) connecting to their online services. This leaves the organisation and the user at potential high risk, with the organisation having no way to instantly secure, risk assess or block transactions coming from infected end-user computers.
Although end-users and organisations have long been accustomed to using traditional Internet security, firewalls, anti-virus, heuristics, blacklists and browser based security solutions, cybercrime continues to grow.
TrustDefender recognised these security solutions were not effective in today’s developing environment, with malware clearly very innovative and successful in exploiting unpatched weakness in improperly protected computers.
Further, all these security solutions did not talk to each other or in some cases did not complement each other and the age-old process of educating consumers via the security safety sections of websites (that few ever seem to read or truly take seriously) was also failing to stop online threats or improve consumer online security health practices or reach their intended audience due to a lack of perceived relevance.
Therefore, TrustDefender developed a range or security and risk management solutions that are new, flexible, compatible with any browser or application and focused on integrating security and delivering effective fraud risk management for any online transaction, at any organisation and through any device. In addition TrustDefender provides our customers to utilise our Rapid Deployment Model using our SaaS/Managed Service offering through to a fully integrated in-house deployment model.
TrustDefender enables the end-user and the organisation to be empowered about the security health information of the end-user’s computer before that end-user begins a transaction, before authentication and to securely complete a transaction session, even if malware has become present.
TrustDefender closes the security gaps, proactively prevents exploitation, and was formed to revolutionise the safety of the Internet, and now, public and private clouds, as transactional platforms.
